SCOTT-ISH ALE

Scott-ish Ale Beer

Scott-ish Ale Label Design

My boyfriend, his dad and his brother - all proud members of the Scott family - just completed their first home brewed beer! It is a Scottish Red Ale and features a Lopez custom designed label.

The graphic features a Mexican style skeleton partaking in the Scottish acts of bagpipe playing and kilt wearing. He is in the foreground of a photo of East Rosebud Lake in Montana - a place very dear to the Scott family. Oh and I forgot to mention, the beer is DELICIOUS!

CHICAGO MED WEEK

Electronic Save the Date

For the last 2 years I have designed the marketing materials for Chicago MED Week with direction from X10 Solutions, Inc. The event honors Minority Business Development with day time workshops and a black tie awards gala. I have attended the gala in the past and was not only impressed with the event but inspired by the success of the minority business owners attending. It is great to be asked to design the 2011 graphics and I am looking forward to the event in August!

WILL YOU MARRY ME?

The 2011 Wedding Season has begun! It appears to be another exciting and busy year for Mayela Lopez Designs. I am looking forward to creating fresh custom designs and I am VERY grateful for the couples who have given me the opportunity to do so!

BEAUTIFUL BONES

Zia Skull
Styrofoam skull form with custom painted acrylic design

I bought this skull back when halloween decorations were in the stores. I painted it to represent the Mexican tradition of Dia de los Muertos. This is much more interesting then boring old white.
